Deuce is 3-4 years old 49 pounds. Update Deuce is living with my trainer and now has proven himself doggie social! He is such a joyful boy. ASK FOR HIS ADORABLE VIDEOS! He slept in bed with me. He had dreamy feet and was snoring up a storm. He is much more calm today, of course and is still exploring. He doesn’t seem to mind light rain, he happily went for a walk this morning in it. He woke me up at 6:30 this morning, I thought because he had to go out….nope!  He wanted to go downstairs and play. He did take a few naps on the sofa today so he is learning to chill. He is one happy happy little man! I love his size, and his spirit. And how he looks at me with grateful eyes. What a difference 24 hours made! Sunday was a day of playing outside, learning new tricks and lots and lots of naps. He really enjoys meeting people as my daughter and her friend came to meet him yesterday. He is a super quick learner, very intelligent, as he learned “paw” within 1/2 hour yesterday and now gives his paw whenever he is asked. Last night we went to bed about 9:30 and he was instantly asleep, no restlessness last night and he slept until 8:30 this morning. He is very calm this morning, almost like a different dog. What a loving good boy he is, so sweet. He really seems to be a “4yr old puppy”, like he is experiencing life for the first time. He would really do well with a single person or a couple with a submissive dog. He gets very very excited about car rides, he definitely needs to learn how to chill in the car, though he loves it. Whenever in the driveway or in the garage he stands by the car wanting to go inside. So sad that the life he had before where he was probably so neglected that he really doesn’t know “how to be a dog” just yet. What a disservice whoever had him though since he is extremely intelligent, and a super fast learner, I can’t get over how smart he is. Once he gets comfortable with a person he really doesn’t jump, and when someone walks in if he is ignored he settles fast and doesn’t jump. He is learning that he won’t get attention if four paws aren’t on the ground. I hope he does find his right person as I adore this little man and love his beautiful face Goes in the crate on his own when the door is opened for him. Pulls extremely hard while walking. I will give whomever adopts Deuce a free training session with my trainer so he can give you some pointers on how to improve his leash walking skills. He is extremely housebroken. He loves his toys, I will bring them with him, but gets really hyper sometimes when playing with them, just like a puppy. He loves play tug of war. He is not a barker. He only barked at a garden statue when I had him in my garden on a leash. But he will bark and grunt a little when playing, kinda like a puppy does. He loves affection. I only really pet him on his head because he can get really excited and stimulated if you give him full body pets and I stop petting if he lays down and goes on his back. If he gets too stimulated I just say enough and leave him and he settles right down. He really loves to be right next to me on the sofa or with his head on my lap to snooze. He needs time to acclimate to his new surroundings since he does get seriously overwhelmed and rigid in busy surroundings, for example when I took him to the vet and this includes his new home.

A cute side note, if he hears a firetruck siren on tv he will howl and it’s adorable! We took video because it’s so cute. From the Shelter where he was for 3 months. Deuce, a male American Bulldog mix, white with blue, is about 3 years old and weighed 49.8 pounds
He enjoys walks, but needs work on leash training. Very bright, willing to learn, fast learner. He loves toys and is very affectionate. He is fully housebroken and is completely crate trained. His ideal home would be with a single/ couple who are active and would love to have a companion. He is a dear soul and just needs an understanding owner who will love a devoted and loyal companion.
