Mission Statement

The Freedom Train Dog Rescue was born from a love for dogs. Our mission is simple: to rescue as many dogs from kill shelters as we can and find them loving homes.

Shelter dogs don’t mean damaged dogs, it means they were let down by humans. They just need a second chance! We have seen with our own eyes how these truly wonderful animals thrive when given the love and kindness they deserve.

We have seen how they complete a family with their loyalty and unconditional love. We have seen once fearful and guarded dogs now joyful and at ease in the world, many for the first time in their lives.

With your help we can give our beloved friends that chance. Here at The Freedom Train Dog Rescue we not only place lost and abandoned dogs in loving homes, we find safe havens for those abused and foster them with care.

To save a dog’s life is a transformative experience one never regrets. You soon discover that the dog you saved, has saved you right back.
