He is now safe and fully vetted.

He’s an old soul. He would do best as an only dog as he was the heart and center of his former owner. He’s great in a car. Loves going places. You’d never know he’s an older pup as he can be spunky and very silly.

Peanut went everywhere with his human dad until dad had a stroke. They were inseparable. Dad moved in with niece and she was not so accepting of having another dog. Peanut was banished to the garage where he stayed for 3 months until a rescuer found out that the niece was going to give Peanut away to just anyone or possibly dump him. He is now safe and fully vetted. He’s an old soul. He would do best as an only dog as he was the heart and center of his former owner. He’s great in a car. Loves going places. He would do best with someone who is looking for a constant companion…possibly someone who works from home or a retiree looking for a partner in crime. Peanut is a love. Very sweet and bonds quickly with his person.

Peanut loves walking on a leash.

He has not been thoroughly cat tested but did not seem interested when near one.

We are working on housetraining. He gets it but needs someone who is willing to work with him.

Vetting: Neutered, vaccines up-to-date, heartworm negative, recently had a dental

Temperament: Good with dogs, teens, all people – needs a wee bit of time to warm up to a new person but then he’s very friendly

Training: crate trained, knows commands, leash trained
